Our interns will work in one or more of the following areas:
Policy papers for 2020 candidates
This is a 9-week internship taking place from early June - early August.
This is a paid internship with a stipend and housing allowance totaling $10,000
Temporary, full-time (40 hours per week) for 9 weeks
Have a high school diploma or diploma equivalent
Natural and Effective Communicators
Interested in Political Strategy and Public Policy
Willing to learn political messaging and correspondence
Be reliable and ready to work very hard on tough, but important, sometimes confidential issues
Have excellent reading comprehension, analytical abilities, and writing skills
Have a working knowledge of common general office software (e.g., Google Apps / Gmail; Microsoft Excel / Word)
Be able to prioritize your work and keep tasks/ projects/assignments on track
Be unafraid to ask people for help, do research, and find answers
Fellows will gain valuable political and legislative experience and experience in how to manage remote clients nationally. Our fellows are trusted with drafting white papers, memos, briefings, legislative tracking, congressional correspondence, and policy formation. They interact and engage in some of the pressing civil rights issues, engage in key campaigns and see their work presented and published to constituents.

Fellowship (FT - PT)
This position will provide legislative support for the Firm’s government relations team including legislative research, regulatory research, drafting legislation, drafting reports, organizing client communication summary material, etc.
